UPDATE 6/30/18: I REACHED MY GOAL! ??? Through your generosity and kindness I now have some hope. Being sick has made me a not-so-nice person to be around. I have been grumpy, exhausted, angry from being in pain, hopeless, and not much help to my friends and family. Thank you for loving me even when I am not so lovable. Thank you for continuing to give me hope. Thank you for not letting me give up on myself.
UPDATE 6/25/18: I chose to keep the campaign going to reach my goal. I see my doctor in a couple weeks to discuss options as far as testing and treatment. I am not looking for a hand out or play money, but assistance in gaining my health back so I can have a life again. We will be testing for mycotoxins and other co infections that might be hindering my progress. I don't want to treat my symptoms; I want health and wellness to live again. Thank you for your prayers and donations ❤❤❤
UPDATE 6/6/18: I saw my doctor today and there are no changes, as I have not done the test required because I am unable to afford it. The good news is there is a cheaper option but I still need help. Once the money is raised I will close the campaign. Once the campaign is closed (I'm praying no more than another week) they will issue a card (it can be a 3 week waiting period) with the full amount to my doctor. Thank you for your kindness and help ❤
I do not wish for this to be a sob story or 'poor me'. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in late 2016. I was treated immediately with oral and intravenous antibiotics. Something still isn't right. And yes, it was CDC positive. Imagine having the flu for months at a time. The constant nausea, congestion, pounding headache, cloudy thinking, overall exhaustion, muscle aches, sore throat, extreme sensitivity to light - this doesn't cover all of it, but this is my normal. I have good days when I'm lucky, most of the time I am grateful for good hours. Along with Lyme Disease, I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, EBV (Epstein Barr Virus aka mono) that seems to come and go, and more.
I have been fortunate enough to keep my job. I am currently on FMLA due to my inability to work a normal full time schedule. I still have my health insurance, but they do not cover "alternative" treatment. This includes viamins and supplements, certain bloodwork, some medications and other treatment methods.
I need your help. I cannot do this alone. This disease isolates me. I have lost friendships, the ability to do "normal" activities like shopping for groceries, the ability to simply hang out with my friends. I want my life back.
I am easily embarrassed about asking for help, especially asking for money. The money raised would allow me additional testing for things that might be hindering my progress in getting well again. Thank you kindly for considering a donation.
