My son, Dane, was 23 years old when he was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. We tried every form of conventional medicine imaginable. His doctors recommended removing his colon. This would mean he would lose the fight and be a slave to his disease for the rest of his life.

In desperation, we turned to Complementary and Integrative Medicine. He drastically changed his eating habits, lifestyle and learned to manage his stress levels. Today, Dane thrives in remission.

We started eFundYourHealth to provide a community willing to help others thrive where healthcare and health insurance was not enough.

With Love,

Phyllis Johnson, Founder

You can make a HUGE difference in the life of another person.

Creating a New Approach to Funding CAM

Phyllis Johnson

President & Founder

Phyllis "PJ" Johnson has held executive management positions within the IT, Medical and Scientific space for over 20+ years. She has led the management, acquisition and development of numerous divisions with prestigious companies such as Northrop Grumman, Cambridge Systems, and Absolute Software. While following her entrepreneurial spirit, she began her career by founding Computer Resource International, Inc. which sold hardware and software solutions to the federal government.

Her dramatic experience with her son, Dane Johnson, convinced her to integrate her strong business acumen with the passion to help others heal chronic disease. She began the Crohn's & Colitis Nutrition Foundation (Later changed to Nutrition Heals Foundation and now eFundYourHealth) designed to provide funding, lodging and expertise for those in need.

Dane Johnson

Dane Johnson was finally diagnosed with Crohns/Colitis at the age of 23 years old after many years of symptoms. Determined to change things, he began a strict diet and moved to L.A. where he became a professional Model/Actor while pursuing his passion for Natural Medicine.

At its worst, Dane had 25-30 bowel movements in a 24 hour period, Chronic sleep apnea, drug induced Hepatitis, brain fog, extreme abdominal pain, extreme rectal inflammation and bleeding, blackouts, etc. After years of throwing away money on dangerous drugs and miracle supplements without any improvement, drastic diet, lifestyle, and stress changes made all the difference. Dane is now in remission without the use of any drugs and a Natural Health Practitioner consulting those suffering from IBD through CCLifestyle.

Owner & Medical Director of the Bernhoft Center for Advanced Medicine

After working for several years in a busy surgical practice, Dr. Bernhoft became ill. His life was threatened by an illness which left conventional MDs at a loss for diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Bernhoft's search for underlying causes of his debilitating illness (he had severe respiratory and GI symptoms, numerous allergies, sensitivities to perfumes, car exhaust and other common odors and lost 35 pounds in four months) lead him to study environmental medicine.

His personal quest for survival carried him into cutting edge advanced medicine, including gene-environment interactions. He found out that his gene which codes for an enzyme called MTHFR was hypoactive, and a second which produces GSTM1 was absent, leaving him susceptible to poisoning by a wide range of metals and chemicals. Since the Genome Project has identified abnormalities of this sort, biochemists have found ways to improve performance of substandard enzymes like MTHFR and increase the amount of enzymes backing up GSTM1, allowing improved function. With this new information, he was able to begin clearing the metals, chemicals and surgical disinfectants which had poisoned him, and regain his health.
